Cam and Dursley Family cycle Routes
We are surrounded by lovely countryside and lots of quiet lanes. Here are some of our favourite rides. Fill in the Contact Form above and let us know yours and we'll add it onto here.
The Quarry
From Sandpits head up to the Yew Tree, turn right into the Quarry and follow the road round past Cam Woodfield Infant School. Enjoy the views (before they build even more houses), then freewheel down the old Elstub Lane down to the Manor Avenue area and you're back in Lower Cam.
To make it longer turn left at the Quarry URC Chapel, freewheel down Field Lane and then come back up Woodend Lane to Manor Avenue.
To make it even longer, at the Motorway, turn down to the A38 then right up to Gossington, then you are in the lovely quiet lanes round Slimbridge.

Uley and Coaley
From Dursley, take the Uley Road. Get some speed up when approaching Rockstowes so that you'll get through the dip. Turn left as you enter the village and struggle or walk up Fop Street and turn left again. Gentle climb up behind Smallpox Hill to the Hydgate Pet Hotel. Turn left and freewheel down to Drake Lane and then left again and freewheel to the bottom of Long Street or right and left down Springhill into Upper Cam.
To make it longer, go straight on that the Pet Hotel and freewheel behind Long Down and down through Coaley and back round via the Railway Station. A fantastic route.
